DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS AN  OPERATING SYSTEM, I WILL TELL YOU WHAT IS  AN  OPERATING SYSTEM AN OPERATING IS A SYSTEM OF SOFTWARE TRHAT MANAGES  COMPUTER HARDWARE, SOFTWARE RESOURCES, AND PROVIDESD  COMMON SERVICES FOR COMPUTER PROGRAM. AND I WILL TELL YOU  WHAT IS SUPER COMPUTER AND MAINFRAMS. SO

WHAT IS AN OPERATING SYSTEM?
An Operating System is a collection of software that manages computer hardware resources.
 The Operating system acts as a interface between user and the computer hardware.
   Without a computer Operating System, computer would be useless.

   OPERATIONS OF OPERATING SYSTEM
OPERATING SYSTEM : provide a user interface, manage programs, manage memory, eatablish internet connection &  provides utilities , control a network, configure dwvices,  co-ordinate task, start and shut down the computer.
DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEM 
APPLE(IOS) WINDOWS, MICROSOFT, macOS, linux, ect.

THE THREE MAIN TYPES OF OS USED IN PERSONAL COMPUTER
(1) microsoft: windows is a series graphical interface operating system developed marketed and sold by microsoft.
                                                          
(2) linux : linux is  unix based operating system assembled under the model of free  and  open source software development and distribution.

 (3) mac-OS: is a series of graphical user interface operating system development by APPLE.INC.
                                                                                                                     
A LEPTOP: is a personal computer thtat can be easily moved and used in variety of locations . Today, leptop are used at work, education, playing games, web browsing, multimedia and for general home computer us.
TAblet: is a wireless portable personal comuter with touch screen interface 
Popular use of lablet pc include viewing presentation, video conferencing, reading e-books, watching movie, sharing photo ect.





A SMART PHONE: is also a  computer typically having A touchscreen interface internet access and an Operating system capable of running downloaded apps.
Used of sending text, messege, e-mail, voice chat, video call, online payment, etc.


PERSONAL COMPUTER/DESKTOP
A PERSONAL COMPUTER: can be defined  as small reletively inexpensive computer designed for individual user.

USES
Bussiness uses pc word processing, accounting, desktop, publishing and database manegment application.
At home the most Popular uses of pc playing games, suffring internet etc.

                 What is mainframe?
The mainframe computer are the computers that have high perfomance can be used for intensive processing of OPERATIONS  that cannot be done by normal computer.
Mainframe are big expensive COMPUTER  are used in the background.

USES
Used by large organisation to organised large amount of centralized data .

These are used in Hospital, large Business Government offices.
They are also used in transaction processing banking, airlines and insurance companies.

SUPERCOMPUTER is a very fast computer with high perfomance which can perfom hundreds millions of calculations per second.SUPERCOMPUTER have high capacity of ram and storage.

Military research, testing nuclear explosion. 
OPERATIONS on space, weather forecasting 
Used for scientific and engineering application.
Use to research in the field of medicine ex.cancer.
